Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties. The formulation also contains Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, which provides a lubricating effect.

The combination may be prescribed for selected ocular conditions where bacterial infection or the risk of infection is associated with inflammation and ocular discomfort. Use should be under the direction of an eye-care professional.
